Call for Nominations to the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Community Credit Union is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to run for election to the Board.  The responsibility of the Board is to engage with management in setting the strategic direction of the Credit Union, and to provide oversight of the operational and financial performance of the Credit Union.

If you would like to serve on the Community Credit Union Board of Directors, please see our Nominations Information Package.  This package includes details on the responsibilities and requirements of a Board Director. Nomination forms are available at Community Credit Union branches in Amherst and Truro or can be requested by email csanford@community.creditu.net .

Our AGM will be held on April 22, 2020 at the Community Credit Union Business Innovation Centre located at 5 Ratchford Street in Amherst Nova Scotia. Registration is at 7:00 p.m.  and the meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.  If an election is required, in-branch advance poll for elections will be held from March 30 – April 21, 2020. Additional polling stations will be in place at the AGM.

There are six (6) director positions to be filled through the election process this year. The term for a Director is three years unless a person is elected to complete the remaining term of a previous Director who has resigned from their seat.

Our Board of Directors reflects our membership and brings experience and capability to enable it to fulfill its responsibility to the Credit Union.
