Meet the 2021 Board of Director Nominees

    Dylan Blenkhorn

    Dylan Blenkhorn is a local entrepreneur residing in Truro Nova Scotia. His business ventures include but are not limited to Real Estate, Property Management, Automotive Sales and Maintenance. Dylan has over 10 years’ experience as an entrepreneur while also being the leader and driver of the Championship Racing Team, Blenkhorn Racing. In his business endeavors, Dylan has grown to understand the importance of community growth. Dylan has created a great relationship with the staff at Community credit Union where he has been a member since 2020.

    Born and raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Rod has lived his entire life in the real estate market. He is currently a business owner with over 31 years of experience in the market and a top salesman in Cumberland County for over 20 years. Rod describes himself as honest, trustworthy, and hardworking and he believes in giving back to his community in various ways. Rod is a supporter of the Amherst Ramblers, The Border Classic Beef Sale and local contributions to charities and sports teams, and an involved member at the Trinity St. Stephens United Church. When he is not working, you will happily find him enjoying and spending time with his wife and two children.

    Daniel Roper is currently working as a lawyer with the Burchell MacDougal Law Practice in Truro, Nova Scotia. Originally from Charlottetown, P.E.I, Daniel moved to Truro after completing his law degree from Dalhousie University. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys being active, while volunteering within his local community. Daniel is heavily involved in the Colchester area acting as the President of the Highland District Soccer Association, Vice President of the Boys and Girls Club of Truro and Colchester, Vice President of the Dismas Society. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Colchester County.

    Chris Tucker has been a member of the Community Credit Union since August 2004. As a long-standing member, he understands the mission and vision of the credit union system. Currently, Chris is a contractor in web and database development with the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council and a small business owner of Tucker Multimedia Design. He serves as a leader of a community-based service organization, Freemasons in Upper Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, where he oversees the lodge, the membership and organizes meetings. Chris is also a Royal Arch Mason and a Shriner, where he participates in many community-based events. Mr. Tucker has a great deal of knowledge in the financial industry with previous experience working as an Assistant Manager of Consumer Credit at Scotiabank, and his work assisting Community Credit Union with the Small Business Loan Guarantee Program.
