Truro Premises Update – November 30, 2012

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our members for their patience and understanding during the construction of and our transition to our new premises in Truro. While this was a very significant project, we do recognize that there have been some inconveniences, and we appreciate the frustrations you have experienced recently. We wish to assure you that we are aggressively addressing all outstanding issues including the parking challenges, the commercial wicket, as well as the recent ATM down time. We expect that each of these issues will be resolved very soon.

We are pleased to confirm that the new Truro branch is very near completion with only minor outstanding items to address on the interior and the parking area on the exterior. We anticipate that all outstanding areas will be fully addressed by the contractor (Fowlers) during the week of December 3rd, 2012.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with our new building which has significantly enhanced our brand and reputation within the Truro and surrounding area. This is your building–it was built with our members at the forefront–to provide a new, professional and inviting atmosphere. The interior was designed to take advantage of an open and innovative design to address our existing and future needs. We are pleased to have the Nova Scotia Co-Operative Council as one of our tenants and we hope to be in a position soon to announce an additional tenant.

In the New Year, we plan to host a grand opening to showcase our building to our members and to the general public.  With approximately 9000 members, Community Credit Union is the alternative choice to the Banking institutions.  Unlike our competitors, we are proud that our profits are re-invested within the local communities we represent and we purchase our supplies locally whenever possible. We are extremely proud of the recent investment in our new Truro building which is a strong testament that we are committed to the Truro area for the long-term.

As we move forward with our new building in Truro and commitment to our members and community, we look forward to serving you with the care, trust and service you have come to expect and deserve. It has indeed been our pleasure and we thank you for your continuous support and loyalty.

Sincerely,

DJ (Darrell) Kuhn
