Telephone Scam Alert

One of our long-time members has alerted us to a telephone scam where the caller is falsely claiming to be a representative of the Credit Union.  The caller claims to be offering our members a “loan special” from the Credit Union.  Our member became wary and refused to answer any questions when the caller asked for personal information including his name and date of birth.

If you receive such a call, please be advised that it is a scam! We know who our members are and we will never ask you for your name and date of birth over the telephone before telling you about any loan or deposit rate specials.  And, as a general precaution, do not ever give out personal information such as your date of birth or social insurance number.

Thank you so much to our member for bringing this matter to our attention!
